Last weekend was very productive!

First off, I got an adjustable lateral rod and short shift kit from TechnoToyTuning. Man, their products are works of art. It was a shame that the lateral rod had to go under the car where no one can see it! hehe... I installed them both and all I can say is WOW. I can't believe how nice that short shift kit is. Truly an awesome piece of work. Very precise without making it too notchy. Zero sloppiness, very smooth, and very intuitive. Can't say enough good stuff about it, so I'll just say... Thanks Gabriel!

I tuned up the engine a bit. It's running pretty smoothly now and is idling at about 950 rpm. It needs to be idling closer to 800, but as I lowered the idle speed, it seemed to get rougher no matter how I adjusted it. So, I got it to 950 and called it good. I'll probably just take it into a shop later and have it tuned up.

I also flushed the transmission fluid. Got that taken care of. I know it had been sitting in the garage with the fluid a bit low. At one point I had raised up the front end of the car with the drive shaft out which let a bunch of tranny fluid leak out the back.

So... once I got it running nicely and replaced the tranny fluid... I took it out for about 10 minutes! It works! w00t! The brakes are still a bit mushy... I think that's because the master cylinder wasn't bled correctly. I'm also going to replace both rear calipers. One drags a little and the other doesn't grip at all. =\ Anyway... it's running! And I'm happy. We took some pictures, they should be up soon.

*warm fuzzies*
