For the past few days I've been working on that floorboard some more. The carpeting is completely removed and the driver's side is now down to the shiny metal. It's looking good! For the rest of the car, I'm just going to scrub the crap out of it with 409 cleaner and a bunch of paper towels and primer the whole thing black. I'll be working on that today. Then on Monday or Tuesday, I'll order the new carpet kit from ACCMats.com =)
I should have a gallery of interior project pics soon. I have the first day's worth of work, but I'll wait till I have some more to show. |

Oh man, have I been slacking off on posting to the blog. Last weekend (the 26th and 27th of Sept.) was SevenStock - a huge car meet of Mazda RX7s and other rotory powered cars. There were SOOOOO many cars there it was overwhelming. It was held at Mazda R&D in Anaheim, CA just a few miles from where I used to live in Garden Grove. I buzzed down there and took a ton of pics (which I will post in the gallery section as soon as I get around to getting them off Chris' digicam).
While I was there, I stopped by AutoRnD's booth and met up with Vince, a.k.a. Enzochan from Club4AG. It was great getting to see him again. I originally met him when he picked up an AE86 steering rack from me back on January 17th. Well this time, I was there to pick up a KICK ASS 5Zigen Border III cat-back exhaust from him. It's so beautiful! I got it home and, although I REALLY want to install it, I'm going to hold off. It's JASMA certified, but I don't think it has a C.A.R.B. number for it, so I don't want to get hassled about it when I go to smog it. Retarded California smog laws. Don't get me started...
Anyway, I'm freakin' thrilled about the exhaust! Thanks, Vince! =)
Also, earlier in the week, I installed those Infinity speakers. They sound great and now I can listen to MP3s while I'm working on the car! heheh... The car's finally coming together and it's really turning out nice. |
