Ok, it's been about a month since I've posted anything. =P

I just got done flushing the transmission over at my friend Steve's house. Refilled it with 2.5 quarts of RedLine MT90. What a pain. I thought I could just remove the gear selector and fill from there. Oh no, of course not! I pulled off the first ring that's held in by 4 phillips head screws. Pulled that out no problem. Then I see the inner 4 12mm bolts that hold in the gear selector. Pulled those out and the thing wouldn't come off. Then I notice that way under the tranny tunnel there are 2 more 12mm bolts that can't be accessed without dropping the tranny. GAH! So then I think that I can pull the gear selector by removing the retainer clip that *seems* to be holding everything in place. Well, I don't have the right tool and a trip to the nearby Autozone didn't have the right one. They just had some gigantic one that wouldn't fit for too much money. Oh well. I wasn't about to run all over town to find the right tool when I could just go home and get the little pump. Which is still a pain. Anyway, got it all done with.

After the car warmed up and the gears got nice and lubed up, it shifts much more smoothly now. But I can't tell if the tranny quieted down at all. With everything taken apart on the inside of the car, it's hard to tell. We'll see once I get the center console back on and get some more time in on it.

I still have all the AC vents sitting here waiting to be put on. And now that the weather is warming up, I need to put in the new AC controls too. I guess that'll be my next project.
